Rivers low? Marcus went sea fishing & a Thank You!

Just a quick note to say a big thank you. The response over the last week has been wonderful, and every order has now been made and despatched. Phew! My little workshop has been busy and very happy. The post office is pleased to see me again!

Everything is made by hand by Marcus {me}, so knowing the leaders are heading out to rivers from here to as far away as Austria & New Zealand  is a real treat. Thank you for choosing us!

I know it's been a tough season on the water. The drought is continuing in many areas and the BBC reported today that parts of the south have now reached severe drought. If you want to read more, it's here < click

Winter rain is what the rivers need, and the Environment Agency says recovery is possible if it comes. In the meantime, if you're out on low water, fish early in the day, keep fish in the water and allow the fish to recover if they are showing signs of stress. We will be building stock of our Nymphing Leader for Grayling next week - get your orders in! 

I have been keeping my eye in while the rivers are low by switching to sea fishing on the Bristol Channel with my best mate Joel. Two very happy chaps! 

That has led to something exciting. One of last week's customers has challenged The Furled Leader Co. to make a leader for sea fishing, and I've started thinking about a leader for bass. It's a real challenge, and it's all about the tension, aftercare. & storage. Watch this space!
